Initiative Petitions

In Florida, the people have the right to propose amendments to the Florida Constitution through an initiative petition process. Throughout the year, we verify tens of thousands of initiative petitions signed by Manatee County voters. Sponsors of these initiatives must secure the required number of valid signatures in order for their initiative to be placed on a General Election ballot.

The weekly initiative petition report provides petition activity by congressional district in Manatee County for each currently active constitutional amendment initiative petition.
