Scott was elected Supervisor of Election in 2024. Since 2013, Scott has been a part of election administration in Manatee County serving as Chief of Staff/Assistant Supervisor of Elections to Mike Bennett during Mike’s entire term as Supervisor of Elections. For a decade prior to that. he served in a similar capacity in the Sarasota County Supervisor of Elections office. Throughout his 21-year tenure, he has administered over 75 federal, state and local elections in our region.
Scott is a professional in election administration. Scott is the only Certified Elections Administrator in Manatee County and has also earned a Master Florida Certified Election Professional status. He has extensive knowledge of the technical side of elections, including cybersecurity, which is a critical component of the success of elections in Manatee County.
Scott is a local, having lived in the Sarasota-Manatee area since a very young age, eventually earning a bachelor’s and master’s in managing information systems at USF College of Business. He has spent his entire career in this area and is raising his family here.
